Environmental Guidelines

Umweltrichtlinien

NELA has expressly set itself the goal of acting in harmony with our environment in all its business activities and thus making a decisive contribution to its protection and preservation.

This is not limited to the manufacture of our products: We avoid unnecessary waste that can arise from the use of plant and machinery in our customers' companies over the entire product life cycle. We achieve this maxim, for example, by largely dispensing with cooling lubricants and instead focussing on dry machining.

In order to realise our claim, we have defined the following environmental guidelines as binding contents of our business policy:

  • We comply with environmental requirements and laws. We are committed to complying with the laws and regulations as well as the requirements imposed on us with regard to environmental protection and occupational safety and to achieving our own objectives above and beyond these standards.
  • We pay attention to environmentally friendly processes right from the design and construction of our machines and systems.
  • We consider the protection of the environment and the economical use of natural resources to be our social obligation.
  • We are guided by the principle of sustainable management and use energy, raw materials and water sparingly.
  • We avoid or minimise environmental pollution such as waste, waste water, emissions and noise and record and assess the impact of our activities on the environment and derive targets and measures for improvement.
  • We are committed to continuously working on reducing our environmental impact.
  • We integrate all environmentally relevant business processes into our management system and are constantly looking for improvements.
  • We promote environmental awareness among our employees in order to jointly protect the environment in all areas of the company and use raw materials and energy sparingly.
  • We are actively committed to a balanced relationship between ecology and economy in order to leave our children an environment worth living in.
