Fully automated optical surface and dimensional inspection
At Control 2023, NELA will showcase its proven solutions for fully automated optical 100% inspection of all types of series parts. For each measurement or inspection task, sensors are individually configured with smart cameras and matching illumination and integrated into the automated systems. Solutions for feeding, sorting and individual part handling complement the inspection systems to create efficient autonomous systems that deliver reliable and documented inspection results without further manual intervention.
Various sensor systems are available for different inspection requirements, materials & surfaces, such as INside or OUTside sensors with up to 12 cameras each for a full inspection of the shell surface, as well as HEIGHT and DIMension sensors for high-precision dimensional accuracy inspection. Different illumination types such as bright or dark field or automatically adjustable illumination color for varying surfaces, as well as shape-from-shading sensors ensure reliable detection of shape deviations even on smooth or shiny surfaces.
